　　研究领域:

　　主要集中在废水废气处理技术领域, 包括生物过滤技术, 水与废水中有机物处理技术,重金属废水处理技术, 除尘脱硫技术.

　　科研项目:

　　主持国家自然科学基金项目、国家重金属污染防治项目、国家科技支撑计划项目、湖南省芙蓉学者计划项目、教育部博士点基金(博导类)等各类项目10余项.

　　研究成果和荣誉:

　　作为主要完成人, 曾获中国国家级科技进步奖二等奖1项, 部省级科技成果奖一等奖1项, 二等奖2项, 三等奖2项. 其中以第一完成人获得部省级科技进步二等奖1项. 获得授权发明专利8项.

　　作为第一完成人, 在美国曾于2001年与2002年连续荣获 Ohio Water Environment Association Research Paper Competition Awards (包括学术讲座及答辩).

　　1995年和1997年连续入选部级跨世纪学术骨干. 2005年入选中国国家教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划. 2009年入选湖南省芙蓉学者计划. 2010获得全国侨联“中国侨界贡献奖(创新人才类)”及宝钢优秀教师奖.
